We read a book about constellations, which really seemed to get the boys interested in the stars and the night sky. They were trying to memorise some of the constellations and having a bit of trouble, so I made these Constellation Montessori-Inspired 3 Part Cards to help them.
They had a great time trying to learn the shapes of each constellation and then I printed out an extra copy of the cards. With this set, I used a small star punch to punch holes where the stars are in the labelled cards. That night, one of the boys held the card up towards the ceiling while the other shone a torch onto the card. They loved seeing the constellations come to life on the roof. I’m not sure they would be able to find them in the night sky, but they are slowly learning the shapes.
