Portable Lego Boxes

Our boys love playing with lego and would love to take it with us when we go on holidays. But as we have no way of carrying it with us, we usually have to leave it at home. That was until I came across some wooden pencil boxes!

I found these wooden pencil cases at Bunnings for just under $10 each.
This is what the boxes started out like.

The boys painted them their favourite colours.

Then I cut up a lego board to the size of the lid before gluing them on with super glue.

The boys love them!! They have taken them on numerous holidays with us now.
The boys change the lego pieces to what they want prior to us leaving on our holiday.
We have found them to be especially great for raining days!!

  1. I love these! I need to make one for my son. What a fun idea (plus they turned out so cute). Thanks for sharing at Monday Funday!

  2. Brilliant! My daughter has a box her Legos came in but it doesn’t have the cool Lego top for play on it. I’m definitely trying this.
